Depuis quelques années, il est principalement utilisé par l'armée de l'air, cependant quelques compagnies privées de transport aérien assurent des vols intérieurs en hélicoptère.

Les architectes sont L. SH. Christaforyan et R. G. Asratyan. E.N. Tosunyan et I.G. Baghramyan ont été responsables des constructions mécaniques.

Erebuni Airport (Armenian: Էրեբունի օդանավակայան) (ICAO: UDYE) is a military airport serving Yerevan and the country of Armenia. It is located 7.3 kilometres (4.5 mi) south of the center of Yerevan. At present, the airport is mostly operated by the military and is home to the Russian 3624th Air Base and hosts a squadron of MiG-29s and Mi-24 attack helicopters. Private firms do on occasion operate chartered helicopter flights inside the country and to the CIS. The airport is also home to a single Diamond DA40 aircraft used by the local flying school.

El Aeropuerto de Erebuni[1][2] (en armenio: Էրեբունի օդանավակայան) (ICAO: UDYE) es un aeropuerto civil y militar conjunto que sirve a la ciudad de Ereván y en general al pequeño país de Armenia.[3][4] Se encuentra a 7,3 kilómetros (4,5 millas) al sur del centro de Ereván. En la actualidad, el aeropuerto es operado principalmente por los militares y es el hogar de la Base Aérea de Rusia 3624a y alberga un escuadrón de helicópteros de ataque Mi-24 y aviones MiG-29. Las empresas privadas en ocasiones operan vuelos fletados de helicópteros al interior del país y en la Comunidad de Estados Independientes.
