No. 8 Squadron, nicknamed the Haiders, is a Tactical Attack squadron of the Pakistan Air Force's Southern Air Command which is currently deployed at PAF Base Masroor and operates the Dassault Mirage 5 aircraft.[1]

During the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War, the No. 8 Squadron operated B-57 Canberra bombers and participated throughout the conflict. On 20 September 1965, the squadron carried out a bombing raid on the Indian Ambala Air Base.[2][3]
