Huntsville est une ville liée à l'aéronautique : elle accueille également le centre de vol spatial Marshall.

L'imposant véhicule d'essai dynamique Saturn V y est exposé et constitue la principale attraction. La capsule d'Apollo 16 (module de commande), qui a fait le tour de la Lune 64 fois en 1972, y est aussi exposée.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama is a museum operated by the government of Alabama, showcasing rockets, achievements, and artifacts of the U.S. space program. Sometimes billed as "Earth's largest space museum", astronaut Owen Garriott described the place as, "a great way to learn about space in a town that has embraced the space program from the very beginning."[2][3]
