Der ca. 314 m hoch gelegene Flughafen Chandigarh (englisch Chandigarh Airport; auch Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Airport) ist ein internationaler Flughafen ca. 20 km (Fahrtstrecke) südöstlich der in den 1950er Jahren vom schweizerischen Architekten Le Corbusier mit einem rechtwinkligen Straßenmuster geplanten Stadt Chandigarh, der gemeinsamen Hauptstadt der beiden Bundesstaaten Punjab und Haryana im Norden Indiens.[en] Chandigarh Airport
Chandigarh Airport (IATA: IXC, ICAO: VICG) is a customs airport serving the union territory Chandigarh, Mohali, Punjab, and Panchkula, Haryana, respectively. The airport runway is located in the union territory of Chandigarh while the terminal is located on the south side of the runway in the village of Jhiurheri, Mohali.[6] The airport caters to six domestic airlines and connects Chandigarh to 17 domestic destinations and 2 international destination.
