Overview

Even thought most of the airfield's land is located in Antanhol, some believe The Aeródromo Municipal Bissaya Barreto is located in Cernache, but it's not legally true.

It is managed by the Câmara Municipal de Coimbra[2] and it is the headquarters of several entities like the Aeroclube de Coimbra,[3] I.A.C. - Indústrias Aeronáuticas de Coimbra and Publivoo.[4] The Aero Clube da Figueira da Foz[5] also has its operational base at this airfield.

The only road connected to this airfield is in Antanhol.

Der Flugplatz Bissaya Barreto (port.: Aeródromo Municipal Bissaya Barreto?/i) (IATA-Code CBP, ICAO-Code LPCO), auch bekannt als Aeródromo de Coimbra, ist ein portugiesischer, regionaler Flugplatz in der Gemeinde Antanhol, sieben Kilometer von Coimbra entfernt. Der Flugplatz, der von der Stadt Coimbra betrieben wird, besitzt eine 30 Meter breite und 920 Meter lange Start- und Landebahn und wird ausschließlich von privaten Flugzeugen und einzelnen Sportvereinen genutzt. Zudem sind eine Bahnbeleuchtung, Auftankmöglichkeiten, einige Hangars und ein Restaurant vorhanden.
