Sagarmatha Airport is a proposed domestic airport in Province No. 1 province of Nepal. The proposal is to build an airport in Jogidaha (ward no. 2), Gaighat in Udayapur District. The proposed airport will be completed in three years of duration in December 2022.[1][2] The runway expected to be 60m x 2000 m.[3]

The land required for the airport is in the process of being acquired. The process of cutting down the trees and plants has been expedited by acquiring 156.11 hectares of land required for the airport. the process of cutting down 13,637 trees in the area has been started. Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has allocated Rs 6.5 million for the construction of the airport in the current fiscal year. [4]
