The Polikarpov TB-2 (Russian: Поликарпов ТБ-2) was a Soviet heavy bomber prototype designed and tested in the 1920s. It was a sesquiplane of wooden construction, with engines mounted on the bottom wing. Work on the sole prototype began in 1927 and it was tested in 1930. Although TB-2 performance was superior to that of the Tupolev TB-1 in service at the time, it was deemed insufficient for 1930 and the project was abandoned.[1]

Die Polikarpow TB-2 (russisch Поликарпов ТБ-2) war ein schweres sowjetisches Bombenflugzeug. Sie entstand etwas später als die erfolgreiche Tupolew TB-1 und sollte diese ersetzen. Letztlich erwies sich die TB-3 jedoch als leistungsfähiger und so kam die TB-2 nicht über das Prototypenstadium hinaus.

C'était un sesquiplan avec une structure en bois, et les moteurs montés sur l'aile basse. Les travaux sur l'unique prototype commencèrent en 1927, et il fut testé en 1930. ТБ-2 — советский тяжёлый бомбардировщик. Конструктивно был выполнен по схеме полутораплана (биплан с разной площадью несущих поверхностей). Разработка началась в 1927 году, первые испытания прошли в 1930 году. Хотя у TБ-2 лётно-технические характеристики были выше, чем у уже стоявшего на вооружении ТБ-1 конструкции Туполева, самолёт был признан устаревшим и проект был закрыт.
